The Heidelberg Project

User Interface, Mobile, Code

The Task

Solve the problem created by the pandemic in bringing people together for the missions of non-profit organizations through a mobile application. It needed to be user friendly and intuitive. I chose The Heidelberg Project in Detroit.

The Process

I wanted to represent of the creative spirit of The Heidelberg Project in the design of my app using bright colors and polka dots, as these are recognizable elements of the art installation. I first designed the look and flow in Figma, but later used code to create the application.

The Takeaway

Moving between Figma and code, not everything worked the way I intended. Changes had to be made in order to complete the project and has therefore taught me to adapt to unexpected roadblocks.
