Television Bumper

The Task

Create a 5-10 second logo animation or promo for television which would be aired during commercial breaks. I chose to create a mid-show bumper for Tangled: The Series.

Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premier Pro

The Process

Being limited in time, the animation is fairly simple. I recorded my own voice over for the bumper. This being for a cartoon show on the Disney Channel, the target audience was young children. This meant the bumper had to be simple, light, and energetic.

The Takeaway

Through this project, I was able to visualize an end result without restricting myself to the skills I already had. I wanted to create a lens flare that tracked around the edge of a graphic, but I did not know how to do this. Once I had this goal in mind, I sought out the resources I needed to achieve that goal.
